Yael Stein, who is Australian who has been living in New York City since 2013, played Lorna Morrello's character in Orange Is the New Black. Yael graduated from NIDA. Yael, despite her young age, has had the chance to study with one of Australia's best storytellers. Yael is an internationally acclaimed actor throughout Australia. A continuing collaboration with Australia's much-lauded director Neil Armfield culminated in the internationally-renowned production Diary of a Madman, in which she starred opposite Academy- Emmy- and Tony Award-winning actor Geoffrey Rush. Yael discovered her new location within New York City when the production played to critical acclaim in the Brooklyn Academy of Music (BAM). Yael has been a co-founder of The Cannery. Working from a studio at Bushwick, Brooklyn, the The Cannery promotes new writing and imaginative, inventive ventures.
